Heritage and Tradition

The spectacular high mountain landscapes and heritage have coexisted for centuries, sharing the culture and traditions of the Val d’Aran.
The villages of the Val d’Aran are the best place to get to know the history, the culture and its people. The Aran Valley is home to 33 villages in its entirety, each with hundreds of their own stories and traditions.
Slate, stone and wood are the essential elements of the small villages that fit perfectly into the alpine passage of this valley in the Pyrenees. Corners full of myths and legends, Romanesque churches that caress the sky and the typical gastronomy of each town reveal the essence and culture of each town in the Val d’Aran.
Likewise, we will discover the exceptional Romanesque ensemble of the Vall de Boi, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and in neighboring France, Luchon: a beautiful thermal city, set in a majestic landscape where the Pyrenees exert all their magic, where its main attraction is the aporarium, an immense natural haman, unique in Europe
